SAEGIN (SUH-GEEN)
The Man. The Music.
Nicholas Lovell Campbell, known professionally as SAEGIN (suh-geen), started playing piano at the age of four. Born in Washington DC, he discovered his voice by the time he reached 6 years old. His early influences included iconic groups like The Clovers, The Lettermen, and The 5th Dimension. Later, he was inspired by The Jacksons, Kenneth “Babyface” Edmonds, Jam & Lewis, New Edition, Prince, and D.C.'s Go-Go music scene. Eventually, he grew to share a stage with bands like Critical Condition Band (CCB), and Total Control Band (TCB) alongside his father.
From old-school and contemporary R&B to pop, electronic, and jazz, Saegin blends the style of Bruno Mars, Stevie Wonder, and Michael Jackson. His mastery of piano, guitar, saxophone, percussion, and more is reminiscent of Prince's genius. Beyond performing, SAEGIN produces, records, mixes, and masters his own material to industry standards with additional influences from gospel and alternative rock.
His goal- to inspire positive change. From covering the classic hits we all know and love to performing his own creations, his content centers on themes of life, love, and uplifting humanity. Ultimately, Saegin desires to use his music to influence hearts and minds for a better world, anchored by his unwavering faith in God.
